A Day at Oak Hill

It is hard getting up if you stay up late!

7:00 - All horses in the barn are fed. This is optional for riders that want to get up and feed.

8:00 - 9:00 - Early Birds will lunge.

8:00 - Late sleepers rise, straighten rooms, and get breakfast.

9:00 - All under saddle riders ready to ride at gate.

10:00 - 11:00 - Late sleepers will lunge. Early Birds do their barn chores.

11:00 - 12:00 - Late sleepers will do their barn chores. Early Birds will help prepare lunch.

12:00 - Lunch time. Late sleepers will clean up after lunch; everyone will straighten their rooms and get their laundry together.

1:30 - 4:30 - Free time: swim, write to family and friends, nap, write in journals, do art projects, read, watch videos, garden, or adopt a pet. We will also go to town some during this time of day when it is hot--Krogers or Wal-Mart!

4:30 - Feed the horses in the barn.

5:00 - Late sleepers will help prepare dinner.

6:00 - Dinner, unless we decide to ride first and eat late.  Early riders will help clean up from dinner.

7:00 - 9:00 - All over-fences horses in the big ring. Sometimes we will ride cross country on the trails at this time.

9:00 - Showers, get ready for bed, quiet time.

10:00 - 11:00 - Lights out. 10 is best, but that may be wishful thinking on my part.

Dr. Owen and I need our sleep too!

Get lots of sleep since there's a new day dawning!

As you can see, our days are full!
